Our Scripps Systemwide Resource Services (SSRS) department supports the entire Scripps Health system. As a member of the SSRS ED team, you can fill vital roles on assignments throughout the system to provide critical coverage for employee's leave of absences, sick calls, and peak service demands while gaining experience in a variety of environments.

Join our Scripps SSRS team as a Registered Nurse where you will provide direct patient care within the scope of your practice. This includes the following: assessment, planning and implementing a plan of care and evaluating patients' progress towards expected outcomes. The RN takes primary responsibility for the patients' care as delivered by the Care Team under his/her supervision. Works collaboratively with other members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient care.

The types of opportunities we offer are as follows:

Float Pool - Permanent Scripps employees who support the day-to-day and short-term assignments.

  • Seeking full and part-time staff for NIGHT shifts.

This position is eligible for New Hire and Relocation Incentives. Seasonal positions are eligible for completion incentives. Ask your Talent Advisor for details.

  • Rehires that left Scripps less than 3 years ago

In order to remain eligible for your retention incentive the following criteria must be met:

  • Must remain in original hired FTE Status and Shift (if specified in offer letter)
  • Must remain in original department/specialty
  • Must remain in original Job Title
  • Transfers to other locations will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis and may result in forfeiting remaining incentive bonus unless specifically noted in your offer letter.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 18 months of recent RN experience in an adult emergency department.
  • Current CA RN License.
  • Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
  • Registered nursing degree from an accredited school of nursing.
  • Must be able to speak, read and follow instructions in English.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Must be able to demonstrate positive behaviors.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing.
  • TNCC Certification

Travel Requirements:

  • May be assigned to the following Scripps Health campuses: Encinitas, La Jolla, San Diego and Chula Vista. May also be assigned to Torrey Pines or Rancho Bernardo Urgent Care.
